Free standard delivery promotions applies to orders shipped using our standard delivery service. Items which are exempt from our standard delivery service (such as products containing alcohol, wedding favours, items containing glass, and flowers), are also exempt from this offer. Offer available to online customers only. There is no cash equivalent to this offer. Cannot be used on orders over £250.

Promotional codes (also referred to as offer codes, discount codes or voucher codes and including those redeemed through a third-party website) are each redeemable only once through the Thorntons.com website. Thorntons reserves the right to withdraw a promotional code at any time. Promotional codes cannot be used in conjunction with other promotional codes, and only one promotional code can be applied to each order. Cannot be used on orders over £250 unless using a corporate promotional code which is explicitly for use on orders above this amount. We also reserve the right to set minimum spends on coupon codes, these will differ by promotional codes but will be clearly stated through our third party websites.

Free when you spend offers are subject to stock availability. Thorntons reserves the right to withdraw the offer at any time or to offer an alternative item of equivalent or greater value in the event of unavailability. Free items do not include any personalisation (including personalised icing, gift-wrap or included as part of hampers). Any items not mentioned in the specific offer are excluded from the promotion.

Percentage off discounts and offers available on selected, clearly marked items only. Add the selected product to the basket and the discounted will be applied automatically. Offers available to customers of Thorntons Direct only. There is no cash equivalent to this offer. Offer not applicable to flower purchases.

Multi-buy offers available on selected, clearly marked items only. Mix and match products within each range, discount will be applied at checkout. Thorntons reserves the right to amend the products in the promotion at any time. Offers available to online customers only. Multi-buy offers cannot be used in conjunction with promotional codes. There is no cash equivalent to this offer.

How our 3 for 2 offer works

To calculate our 3 for 2 offer we take every eligible 3 for 2 item in your basket and arrange them in descending order of price. We then select every third item from this list and discount that chocolate gift to £0.

Example 1:

• Let’s say we’ve added six eligible gifts to our basket which cost £15, £8, £14, £10, £5 and £12.
• These gifts are first arranged in descending order of price (£15, £14, £12, £10, £8, £5).
• Next every third gift, in this example the gifts that cost £12 and £5, are discounted to £0.

Example 2:

• In this example we’re adding three gifts each costing £10, plus three additional gifts at a cost of £15, £15 and £5.
• We first arrange these gifts in descending order of price (£15, £15, £10, £10, £10, £5).
• Now we can select every third gift, in this example the first £10 gift and the £5 gift, and discount these to £0.
